enamorao writes a letter that reads as handwritten and delivers it as a link. To do that it keeps the letters you write, the way you chose to have them look, and a way to sign you back in. That is very nearly all of it.
The rest of this page fills in the detail, in plain words.
What enamorao keeps
The email address or the phone number you sign in with. It is what a one-time code is sent to, and it is the whole of your account: there is no password.
The letters you write, with the paper, the ink and the handwriting you chose for each one.
Your own handwriting, if you ask for it. You photograph a sheet you copied out, and the font built from that photo is kept on your account, one per account; building it again replaces it.
Your credits: the one a new account is granted, the packs you buy and the letters you spend them on.
That is the list. There is no profile to fill in, no address book, no contacts to import, and nothing at all about the person you write to: you pass the link on yourself, in whatever chat the two of you already use.
What it is used for
Only for running the product you asked for:
Signing you in with a one-time code.
Keeping your letters and showing them to you the way they will look.
Helping you find the words, when you ask the assistant for a draft.
Building your handwriting into a font, if you choose to have one.
Serving the link you send, so whoever opens it can read the letter.
Keeping count of your credits.
enamorao is not in the data business: nothing here is sold, and your letters are never used for advertising.
Services that help run enamorao
Four outside services do the parts enamorao does not do itself:
Anthropic, for the assistant. What you tell it when you ask for a draft is sent over, and the draft comes straight back to you.
Stripe, for payments. Your card is entered with Stripe and stays with Stripe; all enamorao learns is that a pack was paid for.
Amazon SES, which delivers your sign-in code when you sign in with an email address.
Telnyx, which delivers your sign-in code when you sign in with a phone number.
Each of them handles what it receives under its own privacy policy. Data may also have to be handed over where the law requires it.
Text messages
If you sign in with your phone number, enamorao sends you a text message carrying a one-time code. That is the only thing your number is used for:
One message per sign-in, sent because you asked to sign in.
No marketing, no promotions and no newsletters are ever sent to your number.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out, and HELP for help.
We will not share or sell your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Opting out ends the phone sign-in channel for that number. Signing in with an email address stays available.
The link you send
A letter is delivered as a link, and whoever opens that link reads it with no account, no app and nothing to install. That is the whole point of it, and it is also its limit: anyone holding the link can read the letter, so pass it only to the person it is for.
enamorao never sends the letter for you, and never learns who you sent it to.
How long things are kept
Your account, your letters, your handwriting and your credits stay for as long as you use enamorao, and a link stays readable for as long as the letter behind it does.
To have your account and everything held under it removed, write to contact@laberintio.im and we will do it for you. Payment records stay with Stripe for as long as its service and the law require.
Your choices
What you write is yours, at every step:
Write, redraft and preview as much as you like. Nothing is spent and nothing is sent until you decide it is.
The handwriting, the paper and the ink are yours to change right up to the moment you send.
Ask us for what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, and we will.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to see, correct, export or delete the personal data held about you. Write to contact@laberintio.im and we will take care of it.
Children
enamorao is not made for children, and no personal data is knowingly kept about them. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to contact@laberintio.im and we will delete it.
Keeping it safe
Access to our storage is restricted and everything travels over encrypted connections. Your sign-in code is stored only as a digest, so it cannot be read back out. No system anywhere is perfect, so absolute security is not something anyone can promise, but your letters are treated with care.
